Bully prevention lessons

Part of becoming a martial artist is believing and fighting for yourself. We talk once a week on the importance of not being a bully and not getting bullied.

Children work with peer and in groups, learning to cooperate with other kids and to show respect for others.

The importance of respect

it’s the respect kids learn, whether from bowing or standing still and waiting for the next command, that can be the most important benefit.

Perfect for ADHD Kids

The systematic method of teaching, going from belt to belt, gives kids with ADHD a tangible framework for measuring their progress and personal growth.

Good company

Being surrounded by children wanting to achieve wonderful things.

How it Works

From day 1 a student is taken by the hand and step by step led through the beginning of martial arts and the process that will lead them to the goal of black belt. For example, you will learn why we stand at attention, why we respect each other, what does being ready mean, how to use the upper and lower body until person has maximized coordination. The learning of martial arts is full education of mind, body, and soul.

Our experience lets us know that nothing happens under 3 months of training and a goal of a child becoming black belt is 3 to 4 years of training. This teaches the child to have a short term and long term goal. Meaning, short term goal is testing for all the color belts, long term goal is reaching black belt.

The beauty of martial arts is the natural reminder that things we go after cannot be rushed. The same way you can’t go through middle school in 2 weeks or play the piano in 1 month, martial arts requires the same patience and discipline.

Intensity level

We recommend student trains 2 to 4 times per week. Those have proven for best outcome to succeed.

Each lesson lasts 45 minutes.
